At last the holidays are here and I can take a breath. My daughters have gone to tamworth with their father and his partner so I have the house to myself. Although it is quiet, it makes managing Easter a little easier.
Last night my girls and I went to a social agthering at a friend's house. I was a bit worried about going as I knew it would be difficult for me to stay within my points. My friends are great, but when we all get together they tend to drink and forget about eating. I don't drink that much, so I get hungry while they are too intoxicated to notice they haven't yet had dinner. I've become more vocal in asking if we can eat, but as I missed lunch yesterday I was too hungry to cope. So, I ended up picking more than I should have. I tried to at least make good choices but I would rather have just had dinner. I know I should have had lunch, I don't usually skip meals, it just kind of happened. I came home first and did half an hour on the treadmill, so that is a positive. Dinner was delicious - it was a potluck affair - and I was responsible for desserts so I took some Weight Watchers Belgian chocolate eclairs, grapes and a Lemon Delicious Pie. I just had one of the eclairs and only two small glasses of wine.
The good news is that I hadn't really seen these people for about 6 weeks and in that time have lost about 7 kilos. Official weigh in is tomorrow but I'm hopeful to hit the 7 kilo mark. One of their husbands did a double take, he was too polite to say anything but I knew he had noticed. My friends also noticed and congratulated me. It was a pretty good feeling. Ella very proudly told them how much I had lost.
Today I tried to repair the damage a bit. I did 20 minutes of yoga, 40 minutes on the treadmill and lots of housework. I dusted and polished like I never have before and followed up with a good vac. So tonight, the house is quiet and clean. I'm going to read and watch Being Erica at 8.30.
Looking forward to WI tomorrow, expecting a loss and will be happy with whatever size as long as it is a loss.
You are doing so well! I hope you enjoy your time to yourself - I would order a nice long bath and a good book, hmmmmm bliss.
