The numbers game...
Yep, 7 kilos gone! I'm very pleased with this. I'm now at 102 kilos and cannot wait to report that I am under 100. There is something pyscologically motivating about getting under 100. I feel as though if I can get to my 10% goal, which is about 98 kilos, that I will be able to get to my overall goal.
My overall goal has been hovering at the back of my mind since I began this on the 14th Feburary. Initially i was thinking it would be enough to just get into my healthy weight range, which would be 76 kilos. I remember being 74 kilos at uni and, at the time, was never quite happy with that. So, I've decided that 70 kilos is to be my goal. It is pretty much in the middle of my healthy weight range. Overall that will be a loss of 39 kilos. It seems so much, I wish I hadn't just calculated it. However, I've already lost 7 of those 39 kilos, which means I only have 32 to go!
There are 38 weeks until my 36th birthday. My aim is to lose 19 kilos by then ( whichs means 26 from the start). That will see me at 83 kilos, I've been there before and is smaller than what one of my friends is now and I think she looks fantastic. It would also see me fit into my size 16 clothes that are packed away in my wardrobe. Later today I migt try to dig out some old photos of me at that size as motivation.
By Easter next year, I will be at my goal of 70 kilos.

Congratulations! You're doing an amazing job - losing weight AND bringing up two lovely girls on your own. I'm also a teacher with two daughters. It was bloody hard work - but I wasn't single, so I can only imagine how tiring that is.
ReplyDeleteI dream of being under 100kg. It's still 23.4kg away, but like you, I figure that since I managed to lose 10% of my weight, I can also get under 100. I wrote 75kg as my final goal but it's too far away to focus on or think about adjusting. I think I may have been that weight in High School. Have no concept of it really!
Keep going - you're making fantastic progress.
I think you'll find the Challenges a very motivating tool!
ReplyDeleteI started a Christmas Challenge back in July when I started WW. It was mainly to keep me accountable to all the online members as well as myself.
I did very well - losing about 18 kilos in that 26 week period.
The Easter Challenge was another tool to help me get back on track after Christmas. I only lost 6 kilos during those 13 weeks but all in all, it's totalled up to almost 25 kilos which is my half-way mark.
I started at 113 kilos - close to your starting weight so I'm living proof that if you have the determination to persist at this WW Program, it can be done!
All the very best - see you on the Challenges! Gae oxoxo
Hi Belinda, another inspring blog! I started at 116.7 and now at 112.5, I'm short and the top of my healthy weight range is 66kg - I agree too far away to think of at the moment. Keep up the great work!!
